I normally love concept albums, and onne in which Alice Cooper sings about life in an asylum sounds like a great idea. It ends up being interesting, if mediocre. I love the line “I just can’t get these damn wrists to bleed” but then there’s Nurse Rozetta:
Nurse Rozetta I won’t let her
Catch me peering down her sweater
Fantasizing silk suspenders on her thighs
“In which a Cookie is refused” by David Malki It’s good to stay healthy, right? But what should we eat and what should we avoid? There are so many conflicting reports and unknowns that it’s difficult to know what’s actually harmful. However, it’s silly to assume that anything modern or “man-made” is automatically poison. Plus, cookies are delicious.
Plastic-Free by Beth Terry is full of information and ideas on how to use less plastic. I try to avoid plastic as much as possible, and I plan to use a few of her ideas. Every little bit helps, no?
Accept’s second album, 1980’s “I’m a Rebel”, is not one of their better records. I never really clicked with Accept and I’m not sure why. I think at the time I considered them AC/DC wannabes and sort of dismissed them. Going back over it again is fun, though.
I pull the chair up to my desk and prepare to write another letter. She likes to receive letters and I like to send them.
I choose an appropriate stationery and just the right pen; this time a nice Pelikan fountain pen with dark green ink. I write, slowly and deliberately. I want to say the right things. Also, my penmanship is terrible. But it’s mine. I’m careful to finish before reaching the bottom of the page, so there’s still room to sign it.
